ContactDeck connects directly from your device to the Google People API. Most issues can be resolved by checking your network, Google authorization, or syncing again.
Unable to sign in with Google
- Make sure your device has a working internet connection.
- Reopen ContactDeck and try Google Sign-In again.
- Confirm that you selected the Google Account whose contacts you want to manage.
- If you previously revoked access, grant contact access again during sign-in.
Contacts are not updating
- Pull down on the contacts list to sync your contacts again.
- Confirm that ContactDeck displays the correct Google Account.
- Check Google Contacts to confirm the data exists in your account.
- Try again later; a Google service or network interruption may cause a temporary error.
Sign out and clear local data
Open ContactDeck Settings and select “Sign out and clear local data.” This signs you out of Google and removes ContactDeck contact data from the device. It does not delete contacts in your Google Account.
Revoke Google access
You can visit your Google Account third-party connections at any time, find ContactDeck, and revoke access. You will need to grant access again the next time you sign in.
Before editing or deleting contacts
ContactDeck synchronizes contact creation, updates, deletion, and label actions with your Google Account. Review or back up important data in Google Contacts before making significant or bulk changes.
